Location: Canada | Hi all, am new at this and just joined forum. HAve not purchased an ovation before (had a yamaha years ago) but am looking at purchasing a Celebrity CK057. Could I get some advice on this guitar? Such as Playability, What should I pay (approximately) and Is it a good buy?

Location: No Town, California | Welcome to the club. I own two Celeberity model and love them. Yes they are made in Korea or some thing like that, but you get an ovation for alot less. Its a super shallow body which means its thin. With the center sound hole it will project well. I would recommend this guitar. Location: Churchville, NY USA | I have a CC026...which it appears is not in production anymore...but it was the most base model ovation acoustic electric...plays real nice and sounds pretty good too...well worth the money spent...and its beautiful... |

Location: ky | for the money, celebrity is good , 299.00 at musicians friend, but for 50.00 more you can get the deluxe celeb which is alot better in my opinion. good luck and welcome to the ofc. |

Last year I acquired a CK047-FKOA with a Koawood top. It looks absolutley beautiful and sounds just as good. Great guitar and fast ( as you would expect).

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think they are the same as CC057s, except for color. All the Musician123s etc. carry them at the same price. Used, the best deal I've seen on a CC057 with the new OP 20 was $160 locally. My wife didn't buy it for me, so I got on this board and went crazy.

Location: Canada | I'd like to thanks everyone who has given me some advice or other. Am still looking at purchasing an ovation. The CK057 I was bidding on (Ebay) went way beyond my reach (as usual) and I am still searching but will search for an ovation nevertheless. |

Location: Madison, WI | Are you looking exclusively at the CK057, or are you also considering the CC057, etc? The CKs appear to sell new for $500, and on eBay $300-400 in good shape. Is this within your budget? |
