I've got a Thunderbolt Snakeskin Model TS-01 that has a signature hidden in the design work on the body. I think it's the signature of the airbrush artist. Is there anyone who can confirm this or has seen autographs on other paint jobs? It says the first and last name then "'89". I can't totally make out the name cause it's in cursive.

Thanks for any info.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. At first I thought it was a Kaman signature because it looks a lot like 'Jim Kaman' or 'Bill Kaman' or the like. I thought it might have been a paint job made for a NAMM show or something. I've actually thought this for some time. However, after realizing I was just trying to inflate the stature of the guitar I came to the common sense conclusion that it's probably the artist (especially becasue it's so small and hidden). Anyhow, I wasn't sure if that added any value to the piece or not.

I purchased it in late '89 or '90. I still have the receipt. I've been debating on selling but it looks like they really haven't held their prices very well so I'll probably just keep it. It's a very cool, excellent playing guitar. You just have to plug it in to get the good tone... Not made for playing around the campfire I guess.

Again, thanks for the replies.

FYI: I've uploaded a pic of my snakeskin. Didn't realize you could do this before.

I thought that blue was the only color they came in.

Another thing I find interesting is that the model number for the snakeskins, TS-01, is never referenced anywhere. At least I can't find any info that acknowledges their existance. Everything is always under the TB-01 model number.

Does anyone know how many snakeskins were made?
