My dream Ovation for loud unplugged projection would be an extra deep (not just the deep) bowl with no cutaway, a longer scale than 25&1/4" And preferably no electronics to dirty it up.

If it were a 28&1/3" scale, would I still get enough clarity and loudness from the 1st & 2nd strings fingerpicked on bare skin?

Ovation will custom build me just such a guitar (including white binding all around and antique burst paint) but would be upwards of $3000 (out of my price range).

Other than the DS768 which comes close to my dream, has anyone a clue if a model was ever built with most all of my criteria? I already have a 25 year old deep bowl, non-cutaway, non-electric, standard scale with traditional sound hole. The solid spruce has opened nicely and it projects well unplugged. Can I expect to noticeably exceed that in some other Ovation?

All comments appreciated.

You want a Longneck Adamas built with the contoured bowl and ANS neck system. Add the mounting ring type texture top and a minimal hardware pick up/preamp like on the FD 14.

Stephen28 and myself are also waiting for this in a 12 strung. It isn't ready for production but neither do I have the funds (or permission) for it either.

But you have to have a dream!!

The DS768 is what you want in the price range under 1500. Pretty much what you are looking for except for the electronics. Anything else would be custom built and in the price range you mentioned.

I have a used DS768 in my OFC gallery available for sale if you are interested.
