Hello. I just bought an Ovation Celebrity. I am having problems with the preamp. It is an Op20. I plugged into an amp and it won't play. The tuner turns on, but doesn't seem to pick up the notes. This is my first acoustic-electric and I am not sure what to do.

be sure that the battery is okay, next have a look into the can. Are the connection pins in the same order as at the preamp?
The next step is to take out the can and check the connection of the input (pickup) and the output jacks.
