Well, you can get in with the bottle of JD, but you'll have to leave the hitchhiker and the uke on the front porch......

Not after I call the cops to make an arrest of the troublemaker on the front porch. And I might have them take away the hitchhiker from NJ as well.....

Brad,
It's not that we (the entire free world not suffering from your particular affliction) fear the Uke, it's more like the mosquito buzzing in your ear at night...won't kill ya, but it'll drive ya nuts. ;)

MAN! Would love to come, but there's this thing called work! Besides, I have been trying to get a pass and all my contacts fell through. Well there's next year. I will start my pass hunt early. Moody reserve me a spot for '07.

Mario,

This is AFTER work tonight at Moody's not the convention center... You don't need a pass. It was an open invitation to the SoCal OFC (everyone else is subject to a cover fee). Just don't show up with a uke, banjo, sitar, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, or pan-flute and we'll let you in. :D

Well, actually, my wife is insisting that we have a cover charge. Everybody's already paid except you, Fred.

What I mean is, I have work the next day. I live about 3 hours from Paul's place so it wouldn't be a good idea to drive out there and then have to leave the uke playin big time drinkin' llama-fest and get home at 4am and have to be at work at 8am. If I had a pass to the show, then I would have taken Friday off and went to the gathering tonight. Oh well, guys spank a llama for me will ya!

What did shock me is the Adamas slothead 12-fret...no, not the textured top U681T.

Not sure what it will sell for but more expensive than what we paid for the U681T and it is the cross weave (CMT)

Personally, glad I got one of the 100 U681T's.

Believe Al said he still had one in stock.

By the way, at the end of one row, large display of items...not unusual.

What was unusual was a large banner across the back that said "Made in China by Koreans".

Not sure how that would distinguish this group as to the quality, quantity, or pricing factors v. either "Made in Korea" or "Made in China"

Having spent 16 months in Korea, I found that there was a lot of Chinese influence in their history, plus a little Japanese influence as well. However, I didn't see any Chinese-Koreans running around from China. :o
