Looks like ol' Glen's back to playing a full body Ovation on stage. My guess is that this is a Custom Elite Contour bowl.

I wonder just how much difference there is between Glen's guitar and one of the same model I would order from Al? I could wonder the same thing about my AD-II.

How was his performance? Did he cut loose on the guitar(s) much?

Brad - luthier444 could tell you. He said he's worked on most of adm's guitars. I read in an interview with da man (2 or 3 years ago at least) that apart from the fac t they set them up for him with his strings (D'Adds, no idea what gauge, but they sure ain't skinny) his guitars are straight adm production items.

Is it a trick of the light or is GC sporting a pony-tail in that pic?

Glens hairstyle is Standard Operating Procedure for aging males. The thinner it gets on the top, the more we grow out the back and sides.

Glad to see Glen playing an O. Those photos of him playing a Strat make me sick. He does the National Anthem at a lot of Diamondbacks games always using the strat and I just want to puke, but I can't disrespect the flag like that. Dave

He was playing the same guitar on the Fox Morning News show before he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

I hate being the subject of reckless speculation (it always leads to bad places) so I'll take the time out of my busy day and attempt to clear the air. I beleive I made the first post and hit the reply button. Lately at times the message board has been very slow to respond to commands. My post was sitting out there on the brink of cyber-space when I saw it and thought of a better way to make my comment. I did the edit and hit the reply button....again.
Now...about the "Standard Operating Procedure" for bald guys. Come on Mark...you have seen my picture....even without the wig. I gotta beleive that the great majority of us are going with the close cropped look. BTW...The promise to NEVER grow a comb-over was part of my unofficial wedding vows.
And....I need to see Glen the next time he is in the area.

We hired a guy here who shaved his head. He was only in his early 30s, but was going bald. He said it was the modern version of the combover. I figured I'd just let nature do it for me. I could never force myself to become modern. Glen obviously can't either.
I bet you guys didn't know that someone patented the combover many years ago.

Stand' O', I think Glen uses the strat alot in concerts, I remember him playing one last time I saw him, plus a Hamer 12-string (on the William Tell instrumental..)

He's probably played them all at one time or another, I remember seeing a photo of him playing a Mosrite electric, way back when...

Glen was a Moserite endorser for a couple of years before Charlie gave him his first Ovation.

I first remember seeing Glen with a 70's strat on the old Tommy Hunter Show in about 1983. For 12-string tunes it was always the Bluebird until he got the current Hamer 12 in about '91.

Exactly. Brad thinks Glen looks like he has a fish on his head.

How're things on that side of the mountains, Nils? Hear you've been getting a little snow!
