Kaki has been booked to play at Carnegie Hall on April 22:

Four years ago, Kaki was playing in the subways of New York City. She has come a long way. Her family is proud of her accomplishments as a professional musician.

From the very beginning in December 2002, she has received the unfailing support and encouragement of the Ovation Company. She would never have achieved what she has without that support. My thanks to all at the company and to all our friends of the OFC.

Best regards-

Dave King

So I guess now the answer to the age old question "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" would be "Follow Kaki!"

Congrats to both of you, Pop! :D

Is there any higher pennicle, as a muscian, than Carnegie Hall?

Congratulations Kaki and Kaki's dad.

Impressive. Deserved.

20 years ago, Loudon Wainwright III told a group of us, that he was going to play at Carnegie Hall. Being the wise ass I am, I asked him if he knew how to get there, and he said tell me, so I told him to go right down past Columbus Circle and then left on 57th. He said is that it, I thought you were going to say something funny. I said you mean like, Practice Practice Practice? He said, no something funny. I said, well I thought it was kind of funny. He said no. That was the last I ever spoke to him.

I can just see the party conversation where parents are bragging about their kids' potty training, or grades or sports acheivements and Dave says, "My daughter is playing Carnegie Hall." Long pause, then somebody changes the subject.
You deserve to be so proud.

Wow. That's a stunning result - absolutely fantastic.

Enjoy the pride, Mr Critic, and please pass on all the best for the gig to Kaki.

It just goes to show what you can achieve with talent, abilty, and drive.
