Is is my eyes or does that 1619 not have strings on it? I have a 1619 in my gallery, they've got to be the best looking appointments on a guitar. The carved walnut bridge sets it apart. |

Seriously, the black one just happened to be stringless at the time I snapped the pic... I assume that's the one you're referring to.
I agree, the 1619 appointments are gorgeous. Ironically, when Ovation first introduced the Custom Legend, I didn't care much for it. I thought it looked gaudy and very "un-Ovation-like." But within the last ten years or so, after playing and owning several, it's become my favorite model O.
BTW, my member # not withstanding, this isn't my first attempt to post in the gallery. It's just my first successfull attempt! :rolleyes:

Location: Isle of Man, UK | Nice one Jeff - that's a sweet collection. Really must update the gaps in my gallery, and I think you've inspired that.
Just one question - on the picture of your current CL this one , there's a snippet of another guitar just off to the right... what's that one? Just that I think I vaguely recognise the wood colour, and want to make sure that I'm not being a complete guitar anorak.
I'll own up if my suspicions are correct, honest!

That's a Storm Series Hurricane 12-String. The bad news is it's not mine. The gallery pics of my current CL were taken by the Ebay seller I bought it from in 2004. I'd saved the pics from his listing. |

In my defence, I have a red Tornado, so that's clearly where the confusion arose... :rolleyes:
