Joined: August 2003 Posts: 396 | Thanks for your suggestions on the Taylor gc thread. I actually found many high quality guitars worthy of taking home (very unusual for me). I guess going to a higher level store helps. Unfortunately, price does matter. The best quality for the price was a martin om-28 marquis, just excellent. Played an excellent collings and a great Santa Cruz. Played several Taylors and they were not even close. Once again I found beautiful looking Taylors, but the sound didn't do it for me. Played a few Koa models (Koa is a gorgeous wood!!), but I still have never played a Koa guitar that I thought sounded all that good. I bought the best guitar for the price. I'm very happy with my new Martin OM-21! Very sweet sound, great set up and feel, and good looking (my first rosewood back guitar) This should get me working on my finger picking. I'm very pleased. Thanks, again!

I played a Santa Cruz H-13 that I really loved but priced out of my range. Different flavors to be enjoyed. Yesterday I played My Martin OM and my Ovation Country Artist. Enjoyed both.
