When asked how the search and rescue was going, the response was "Whudyamean...? That there is your perfect sting operation!"

Jeff, that building sort of looks like a banjo.

Another quote by Churchil: "People tend to use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post, more for support than for illumination."

...you mean Pete Seeger?

...so... back to topic: Why not an Ovation Banjo??????????? A parabolic resonator would be a killer!...It'd peel paint off the walls!
Yeah, yeah, that's the feller, Pete Seeger!

Well, for starters, They'd need a whole new set of tooling, unless you could build from materials already available on the open market.
 I suppose they could use one of them taco shell dishes... you know the plastic ones with the tight fitting lid to keep the soft shells from drying out?
Then you could would need to remove the flat lid, and stretch some Saran Wrap over it. Then remove the solid backand replace it with a frisbee for that parabolic effect. Add some butt hinges and a turn button soes you can open and close her. All that's left is the neck, headstock and strangs, and you've got yourself a Ovation Banjer!
:D

Ya know, Tim, I think, due to the size of it that might be a banjo cello. Where did you get that pic? I'd like to investigate for grins and giggles :D :p .

Well my curiosity got the better of me. I yahoo'ed banjo orchestra and these fellers did come up. The big 'un in the back is indeed a bass banjo. Trade name Heftone Lojo(tm) bass banjo - The invention of my father Lawrence A. efferan. Father of one of these guys.
Visit the site: http://www.msen.com/~brianhef/hbo/Heftone_Banjo_Orchestra.html to listen to this orchestra. Kind of catchy, but as my dad sometimes says, "A little goes a loooong way."
