First the good news!!
Many of you remember that back in July I put my 1858 Elite 12 String up for Sale on the board.
Instead of having to sell it outright and ship it across the country, A friend of mine offered me the Money and said he'd just "Hold onto the 12 String until i was able to repay the "loan"
Today, My friend met me in town and brought the 12 string back to me. I was able to pay him back over time..and truth is..though he intended to use the 12 string some during his weekend guitar gigs..it never left it's case. I'm ecstatic.
The bad news is I just got back from the doctor..fever of 102 and strep. Won't be singing but maybe tomorrow evening after resting all day i'll be able to play her again. Man it's great to have the guitar back home. A big thankyou to my friend for stepping out and doingthis for me, and a big thanks to Cliff, For a 12 string to play in the meantime.

Yep its all about the people here, that's why I don't read the newspaper too depressing. This is very up-lifting and entertaining. And if I don't have a lot of time I just read the Cliff notes.

Steve, that is great news. I've often thought about you giving up your guitar and all the rest you've be going through over the last several months. Cliff steping up with the loaner to hold you over reinforced what a great group this is.

Glad it all worked out. Thanks Cliff for your generosity.

That's great Steve! I was heartbroken when you had to sell the guitar. I remember when you got and and posted pics (you still need to work on your lawn!). Slap some new strings on 'er and get pickin'!

I remember a while back when money felt tight, a certain board member from across the pond offered to buy one of my guitars, but also said that I should hold onto the guitar until he made it over here. If I still wanted to sell it, he'd take it with him and if not, just refund the cash. I've counted him as a very close friend ever since.

It's that kinda board......

Thanks for the get well wishes.
Well, I'm Back and the strep is gone . All that's left is congestion from Hell. The antibiotics and the medicine should help remedy this too. Did take time to play a little over the weekend. I shure did miss the sound of this wonderful ovation. Again , I'm grateful that she's back home where she belongs.

Steve, I remember the picture you took of that 12 string when you first got it. You still need to do something about your lawn......

...I want to be a lawn...

Fantastic news - that's why I like this place. Restores my faith in people a little against all the bad stuff you hear from day to day.

Cliff,
Don't you have a lawn?? Or is it Moody who doesn't have a lawn? I'm confused.
I know...absolutely nothing new about that!!
It is nice to have a lawn, except when you have to mow it. :D

Steve,

People in the land of LA don't mow - they repaint!

Where as, in Jersey the Flora survives on cigarette butts, spit and passing dogs.

Glad to see the reunion!

Shall we do the OFC tour Jam this year? We might even talk Cliff into a guest Vocal.
