Location: Chicago | I just bought the late Shawn LANE's (with Jonas Hellborg) acoustic all-OVATION project: a live recording called ZEN HOUSE. Hellborg is playing a DOUBLE NECK ACOUSTIC OVATION BASS?
It's cool that the insturments are listed as Ovation guitar/bass!
What the heck is this? Does anybody know?
Track four is KILLER. |

Location: Chicago | Hasn't anyone heard of Shawn Lane? Too bad! Again there is a SMOKIN' CD, "Zen House" on which Shawn plays (I believe) an Adams and Jonas Hellborg is credited with "Double Neck Ovation Acoustic Bass".
Never heard of such an axe. I wonder if it even exists!!

I did try to find the Zen House CD to check out but I could not find it anywhere. |

Location: Chicago | That makes sense. Is this a custom order, I wonder. At any rate it makes an awesome sound (well, Hellborg does). And, damn, I wish Shawn had played ALOT more acoustic gigs. The last jam on ZEN HOUSE is the most inspiring thing I've heard in years (but my taste is very specific: I get cross looks when I name "My Goal's Beyond" as the best guitar album ever....Whattabout Ingwe?" |
