I there anyone coming to the Tour that can bring one of these fabled 1537 guitars? I'd really like to see if they live up to their reputation.

I'll be sending mine off to the factory for some TLC in a few weeks. If all goes as planned, I'll be picking it up at the tour.

You did such a great job on the calendar and trinket Brad, that I'll let you try it out first.

Why thank you!
It would be a honor.
I had a neck reset and some fretwork done on my Balladeer last year. I picked it up at the tour. It works out great and there is no need to worry about shipping mishaps.
I'm going to bring my Breadwinner to pass around.

I haven't brought a guitar the last 2 years (hell, you bring one and people expect you to play the damn thing!), but I'm thinking this year I might bring my 1773LX. It won't have volume to keep up in the jams, but I suspect that people would be interested in playing it.

Paul...is that your new 12 fret baby???
Ya know...as much as I love Ovation guitars and concidering how long I been hanging around here, I still do not speak fluent "model number" language.

I'll bring a Martin so you guys will have something to kick holes in again this year. Or we could take turns urinating on it. Or maybe we douse it in gasoline and set it on fire like a burning-man festival. Do they have gasoline in New Hartford yet ??? Dave

Whale Oil . . .

Paul;
I wouldn't trust that precious guitar to the airlines. Ship it out to me and I'll drive it up with mine. Ship it NOW to guarantee that it gets here in time;-)

Brad, it the new classical LX model. 12 frets, 1 7/8" nut, nylon string, with just a few tweaks.

By the way, I owe you some money. Email me your mailing address and I'll get a check out today.

Dave, bring the Norman. It oughta look good with a new hole in the top, courtesy of Temp.

Don't say "kick around" unless you really, really mean it. Remember Mr. Keller's Celebrity from last year??
And I could read your sarcasim two ways.
Straight up now...are your coming to the F$%&in' tour or not??

Slip, When you have as many skeletons in the closet as I do you need to keep your whereabouts rather vague for obvious reasons. If you hear ukulele music emminating from the hotel lobby you'll know that I'm there ... If not, have fun without me. Dave

Paul - check with the mothership if they will have a classical there. Seems crazy to risk yours if you don't have to, but your classical and the Adamas 1680 are the two I most want to play. So if they won't have one there - bring yours!.

It's not so much what'll be at the Factory . . I think Paul was thinking more about the pre/post sessions at the hotel . . .

Schro --

On Thursday evening, before the actual tour, there's a huge meet and great / jam session in the lobby of the hotel. The hotel enjoys it, the music is good, and everybody has a chance to catch up on news and play everybody else's guitar. The next day, it's over to the factory.

I thought we just got to mug girl guides for their pizza at the hotel. I didn't realise there would be music.

I'm thinking about bringing my Country Artist. Do United have a history with anyone here? (My Country Artist BTW is a guitar, not a Mexican/American guitar player)

What's a Norman? I played one recently and had never heard of one before or since until it was mentioned above.
