Preacher Neck Plate

Can't believe this went for almost $30.

Yeah it had five different bidders that bid a total of 11 times. I guess it had demand. It is a part that is hard to find without a guitar attached to it. The gold plating is wearing thin too.

Since I didn't have a specific need I merely made a grazing bid. If it was a necessary component to a project it would have gotten just short of expensive.

MisterGolf007 (licensed to bid) thought it was worth $28.57. I am all smiles because Kurt and I have had these agonizing discussions over "how much something is worth". It ain't easy piecing parts and pick'in plums!

I have made some neck plates out of 6000 series Aluminum but its not the same.

It is a curse and blessing for Collectors how Kaman made all those non-standard sized pups and pieces. If the Fender neck plate fit the Ovation Solids these pieces would be a lot harder to find.

I believe it's an UK-II neck plate. That seller had other parts from a raped UK-II on eBay within the last two weeks.

Yeah, BruDeV, I E-mailed him and told him that guitar (specifically, the body) was a UKII. I guess it didn't matter to him. Or, he thought Preacher would be more recognizable. Not sure why the UKII and Preacher are often confused. A month or so back, I was bidding on a UKII that the seller insisted was a Preacher, even after receiving and posting information to the contrary.
