1996, 30th Anniversary Collectors Edition

Hi! I own one of these beauties and wanted to know if it is possible to strung it with nylon strings. Do you think that the guitar will be damaged in any way?
Any comments on this issue will be appreciated!
Thanks.
Danny.

..well, don't do it just because you can...it'll play like slop and sound even worse...why risk it?...

Hi Danny,

You would be much happier with a country artist. The CL30 would not be physically harmed in any way, but the emotional damage to OFC members who own them will be great. It probably wont sound very good either...

Seems like you would need to rise the action about a foot to even make it playable...nevermind it will sound like aforementioned fart...

I hate to get off the fart topic, but is Jeff saying that a nylon needs to have a higher action? I noticed the action is much higher on my recently acquired 1624 and if there is a good reason for it, you could prevent me from taking some unwanted actions when I change the strings.
