Does anyone know about the Crate CA60D acoustic amp. I have seen good write ups about it but just wondered if anyone had any hands on experiance with it. Thanks, Rich

Played several Crate acoustic amps at GC. They sounded fine, but it's always hard to tell because the GC is so noisy, even in the acoustic room.

Rich,

I have the CA60, absolutely no complaints. It has great sound and lots of nice features without being difficult to operate. I paid $400 new for it. It is a perfect match for the roundbacks ;)

I have the smaller model, a new Crate 30D. The upside is it's very portable, solid and nice to look at. The basic sound is a fine match for my Legends. The downside are the effects. I don't like the delay or verb very much: a bit thin and mechanical/tinny sounding. I now combine the ZOOM A2.1u pedal with it. Now, THAT is a beautiful thing.
