Location: LewistownPA | I have a small PA that I play through with 2 full range speakers with 10" woofers. They're really monitors but I'm using them as mains. Doesn't have as much bottom end as I would like, and I'm wondering if adding a single subwoofer would be worth while. My amp has a dedicated ouput for one, so I'm considering a passive 18". I just don't know how much effect it would have on an acoustic guitar and would like some advice before I plunk down the dough... |

Hauling two 12" cabs will be a lot easier than hauling two 10" cabs and an 18" sub-woofer.
That Carvin 18" is $400 w/shipping. You can certainly get two 12" cabs for that or less.
I bought two 12" cabs on eBay for $75. |

Location: LewistownPA | Peavey makes a sub that can be bought for $239.00 at Music 123 w/free shipping...as for gigging the answer is no... might happen in the future but as my user name implies this is pretty much a hobby for me. I bought the pa so I can hear myself sing when playing electric guitar and I like playing my O plugged in as well.....Two 12" cabs for $75 ? Most of the ones I see want that much just for shipping given the weight.. |
