I am as proud as punch and pleased as can be to have a couple of entries pictured in this month's OFC Calendar.

Thing 1 and Thing 2 are evolved a little since though. The sunburst Deacon 12 string now sports original electronics and is owned by Louzam. The lighter deacon is now dressed in either a Koa PG or in Walnut with original electronics and has gone to a new owner in the lovely State of New Jersey.

I love the Deacons and Protos theme.
Good job OFC Calendar Team!

I would have found it hard to part with that Deacon. You really gave it a new life Woody.

With the sale of the 1598 CG, Deacon 12 and a Breadwinner I have ended up with a Limited deacon 12 and my C2079LX 12.

Now I don't need any more guitars!

Ha ha ha!!!! Listen to Woody!!!!
Just a few weeks from the tour where he can sample as many Ovations as he can reach!
I'm gonna keep my eye on him and remind him of the above statement every chance I get. :p

Besides correcting my spelling in the title I looked around for the "Sarcasm" Graemlin and couldn't find it.

(insert sarcasm IG) I may see one or two there that would be nice to have!

Michael, you'll be lucky if you see a couple you can't live without.

So after reveling in the featured Deacon and Breadwinner pictures in the month of April it finally hits me what the back drop is for this month. The body shot of a Flamed Koa PG with air Norton Humbuckers and a Lift switch and Blender Pot.

Somebody please donate a Broken Breadwinner so that I can put this PG and Pup set up back to work!!!

Thanks Dzilla and Slipkid! I am humbled.

So... as the Ides are upon us, what is the story behind this month's photo?

Don't know the story or who the November guitars belong to, but I own 2 of the 3 and have great respect for the 3rd....

I have been lucky enough to have owned several of each (at different times) and passed the majority on to others for their enjoyment.

Ovation has made some awfully good guitars over the years and these calendars are a wonderful everyday reminder.

Did somebody mention the November pic? It features 3 of Jeff W's collection, although I think the 1537 has a new home in the OFC.

November calendar pic

Enjoy!
