There are some very nice and quite humbling individual collections posted on this site. In the aggregate, it really is phenomenal. Is there any Ovation or Adamas model not covered somewhere by at least one OFC member? Notwithstanding my commitment to Stephen for his UKii, I have some catching up to do in the bowl models. Would a 1537 in natural, a 1768-7, a DiMeola (if only for the bling), and the someday-to-be-released OFC model be a good start? I've got to pace myself and develop a strategic GAS relief plan. Any ideas?

All the others that you mentioned are great guitars but they will be available now and in the future. I don't think we will see much movement with the #47 RI's. I think they were be extremely hard to come by in the future. Then... the OFC guitar.....and you may find all your needs taken care of and the GAS temporarily sudsided. Then, if you still have the desire, I will probably be selling off some of mine to help finance the above 2 guitars that will be residing in my own collection.

It all comes down to what makes you feel good to be surrounded by. You named some pretty nice ones in the opening of this thread. Go get them !!! Just my own 2 cents, but unless you have a perpetual woodie for an adamas slothead, why waste money on a #47 that (your words) you wouldn't play. For the same money you could buy an FD14, and Al DiMeola and a 1537. THAT's a nice collection. Dave

Professor, If you can afford it and nobody goes hungry - get them all! I have had to pull and scrape to get the ones I have. But that's half the enjoyment I think.

I've never bought a guitar just "to have it" and although the #47 comes close, I intend to play it alot.
