In reference to taking care of the neutral wood front of the Baladeer's body, I was told to use a wax on it. Anyone have any ideas on the upkeep? Is a waxing needed? It seems the wood is porous and I don't want to find out when it's to late that I should have treated it with something. I know a guitar polish is not the answer. Thanks for your replies. BP

What does neutral mean? Do you mean natural? Have you looked at the ovation website for maintenance tips? The link is to the left, under links. Also, try doing a search, using the search function above.

If it's the cedar balladeer do not put anything on it. Just rub it with a sooofffttt cloth.

OR if it's a spruce-top S771.....I wouldn't use a wax on the matte-finish S771s.

Thanks for the replies, I wont put anything on it, I was just worried the wood would eventually soak in body oil or whatever over time cause it seems so porus. Thanks again
