Location: chicago | Got a call from my buddy at sam ash yesterday and he told me to come down and check out a special ad-2 they just recieved ,only 50 made signed by AL.Now just a few months earlier I bought the natural finish AD-2(GEORGOUS AXE)from sam ash.anyhow I pull the geeetar out of the sacrificial glass case surounded by letters of authenticity etc.play it look it over and cant figure out what seperates this AD-2 from mine, plus mine just looks better (natural finish).Oh it also had a much heftier price tag.Now this guy knows Al is my hero, and thought for some crazy reason I would purchase it.The wife would shoot me if I had two of the same guitar, bought just months apart, any how do any one of you guys know what seperates this Ad-2 from the others, besides Als signature emblazed across the top,and the high price tag.He called it a collector. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I don't know much about it. Where is the signature, on the peghead? I have seen some with the signature inlayed on the peghead and just figreue this is how they were doing them these days. But that wouldn't come with a certificate of authenticty, I wouldn't think. Maybe this is one of those export specials for Asia, like the John Lennon Legend guitar?

Location: Anchorage, Alaska | I've got a nice black one that I had Al sign while he was in Anchorage last year. (I took the strings off and had him sign it through the sound hole not on the sound board. I think that look tacky) Don't think it picked up in value due to it though... |

IMO (not humble), the headstock signature on a black DiMeola II is stunning. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I agree. The headstock signature is good looking. But AD scrolled accross the face of the guitar? I can't see how this enhances the looks or the value. Dave |
