Location: Boise, Idaho | If I remember correctly, he told me it was broken. You could avoid taking off the bridge and drilling the hole through it if you drilled the hole from the back and used an offset screwdriver through the sound hole. You could also just use the right size drill bit for the molly bolt so you don't have to use the end of the screwdriver.
I'm good at the advice, but weak on implementation. That's why I'm a lawyer. If the above doesn't work, sue me for your money back. And while you're at it, sue Dave for a refund on your string tubes. |

| Ok here I am again wondering why you would have to take the strings off the guitar to mount it could you just loosen them up enough to work around it? And I still cant' figure out why you would need a screwdriver to make the hole bigger.) |

You could loosen the strings just enough to reach inside with a stubby screwdriver or offset screwdriver but I found that I could not get pressure againt the screwhead without slipping. And it needs to be very tight. So the easiest solution was to remove the saddle and work straight on through the bridge. I did it by undoing the strings at the headstock but leaving them threaded through the bridge.
If you are a Type-A personality you can drill the appropropriate sized hole in the sheetrock to accomodate the toggle head. The rest of us simply punch the hole with the phillips driver and then enlarge it with the handle.
I've got a Preacher Solidbody also screwed to the wall. It was much easier to do. I cut a 1" thick block 2x2 inches to put in back of the guitar to stand it away from the wall. Take off the pickguard. Bolt the guitar through the block and into the wall, then reinstall the pickguard. This one was much easier because it fell right on a wall stud.
