Hey guys.

A good friend of mine wants to upgrade his nut & saddle on his acoustic and wonders what is the better sound. Bone or Tusq?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

There's not much in it, but bone is cheaper, sounds a little better and looks nicer. Any good dense synthetic such as Tusq, Corian or Micarta makes fine nuts and saddles, but bone works and was there first. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
