Now, when you play sitting, lyrachord bowl and your breast get in touch.
It's not a big issue for sure, but sometimes in such case I can hear a very little "knock" coming from Pre-amp folder touching its slot in the Lyrachord, perhaps an assembling tolerance.
Help requested by anybody: Ever happened? Normal? Symptom of an incoming disaster?
P.S.= 1773LX with Op-pro

Before you start messing with the pre amp, take the back hatch off and make sure your wires are in the little cable holder stuck to the bowl and that they are fairly taught, running straght to the preamp without touching the bowl. This is where I found a "mysterious buzz" one or two times. The other times turned out to be my Dunlop straplocks. If that's not it, move on.

Take the preamp out of the "can" (that's what we call the "folder"). stick your four fingers in and see if you can move the can around with light pressure. if it's loose, you can tighten the two phillips head screw a little. I would suggest trying to get it in the center of it's cut out first, or perhaps "twisting" it in the hole so that only the ends (where the clamps are) are touching the bowl. Tighten carefully. The clamps can exert enough force to deform the can. This will make difficult to get the preamp in, and nearly imposible to get it out. So what I'm saying don't over tighten the screws. Tighten them a little past "snug", try putting in the preamp, test it for the "KNOCK", if neccesary, take it back out, tighten a little more, repeat as neccesary, stop before it's hard to get the preamp in or out.

note: Edited for German Porn-script" content :D ;)

Hope this helps :D

Hi Fred,
unfortunately 1773LX has no hatch back.
The buzz is not that annoying, so I'm sure I'm not going to fix in the way you suggested right now.
I appreciated very much the step-by-step directions and the careness needed that you focused on: so at the right time I'll know what to do, with little, light and progressive attempts.
Thanks a lot!
;)

Oh,

Even easier then. When the time comes (next string change maybe), You can just reach in through the sound hole, but you cannot easily play it at the same time you're feeling around inside :D
