However some feed back of O's owners and players would be helpful. Did some of you plug your Ovation or Adamas in it? Is it really worth it ? Thanks ;)

The effect of the aural exciter process can be pretty subtle if you already have a decent amplified guitar sound, plus if it's over-used it can sound harsh and encourage low-end feedback. Used properly they sound good, but whether the improvement in tone is worth the cost is a matter of opinion. Personally I think it is. They work really well with the Aphex Punch Factory compressor.

I chose a zoom a2.1u because it has two parametric equalizers, very basic drum, usb recording, and built in effects/volume pedal. And it's ugly green too. I don't use the built guitar modeling all that much. It also has a built in tuner for the non O's.

I must say i discovered this little box through a video in the Bresh stuff section of Thom Bresh website (there's also a link to "Nashville radio biz" that i love, many bluegrass, blues, picking music :) but that's off topic ;) ). Paul, thx for the details i shall take them into consideration. Stephen, thx for your info about the BBE which seems to be a very interessant product, however i finally found an Aphex Xciter 1401 for sale here in France at a very very good price and i decided to order it. Tdeej, JohnB and Cliff, thx for the info ! To all thank you one more time for your quick answers, i shall post you my feeling regarding this product in some days ;)

This year, I started playing live gigs again after nearly twelve years of "retirement" from the business of music. I work with a buddy as one half of an acoustic duo. My friend plays rhythm on his new Elite T, while I play lead on either my 1627 or 1619. Anyway, his guitar has so much more "presence" and volume than mine when coming through the sound system. I've thought about having the preamps in my guitars updated/upgraded, but would this thing do the job just as well (and for a lot less $)? Thanks...

If you are looking for an improvement in sound without the gimmicks and extra effects, the BBE DI-1000X w/sonic maximizer is still the way to go IMO.
