Hello all,

I am in the process of preparing the 82 collectors for the repair of the rosette/abalone inlay. I have removed old glue residue from the rosette by lightly scraping off and it came off nice and clean.

The residue/old glue on the finish/soundboard is a totally different story and is not being as cooperative. I know that it will all be underneath the rosette so it doesn't have to be perfect, but I don't want to pull up pieces of blue paint when I chip this off.

What would you recommend? simply going at it carefully with a scraper? or using a solvent? if so which type?

and what type of glue/adhesive for re-attachment?
I've used the thick slo-flo cya in the past, is that a good choice?

Thanks in advance,

Glenn
