Oh boy.. I'm having fun with this.
However...When I mix the song down, it's a whopping 27 mega bits.
Is there a windows tool that will shrink it??

Probably saving it as a .wav. They are huge files ... my song was 58MB. If you put it on a disk and play it through Windows Media Player, there is an option to "copy from CD". It will save it as a .wma file and it will probably end up around 4MB.

Files are always big when in their native format. Most sequencers will give you the option to mix down to a more manageable size once you are happy and ready to commit to disk.
