Location: Saginaw, MI | I have an Adamas 1597, which I love, but have had problems with the electronics. It was shorting out the battery--took it to the guitar shop and they sent it to ovation. A month later it came back with a quiet hum when plugged in. Now, about a year later, the guitar sounds like a cheap dobro when plugged in. I would like to get it back to the shop, but don't want the hassle of going through the guitar shop again. Can one send a guitar directly to ovation for repairs?? Thanks for any advice. Del. |

If it is strictly an electronics problem there should be no need of the hassle, expense and risk involved in sending the whole guitar back to Ovation.
Contact Kim Keller or John Budney in Ovation Customer Service directly and they can trouble shoot over the phone and take care of whatever is the problem. If something has to be returned, just remove the electronics and send them in.
Personally, I prefer never to ship a guitar unless absolutely necessary.
