One of my co-workers went to see Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood last night. He was telling me that in addition to the array of Telecasters Brad plays that he played an Ovation for the acoustic numbers -- and Carrie plkayed the same Ovation. Any idea what Ovation he plays?

No, but I saw a show about him a year ago or so and while I'm not exactly a fan of country music, I was really impressed with his guitar playing ability. He definitely has talent, and not your ordinary dimestore singalong cowboy.

According to his website's gear pages, the only acoustics he uses are McPherson.
Prolly not "up to date".

Brad is a great player. Have heard him 3 times this year and will hear him again in a couple of weeks when he plays Mandalay Bay. The only acoustics I have ever seen in his hands are McPhersons and Larrivees. The Telecasters, with the exception of his old paisley are not really teles, but Crook Customs and he uses Dr.Z amps. Can't imagine him playing an Ovation, but it would be cool.

They're not Tom Andersons? Those guitars seem to be quite popular with country stars for some reason. Maybe it was George Straight I've seen using them.

and you are right about the Andersons. I'll see Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas playing their Andersons tomorrow night.
