I have my Dad's Ovation guitar which I have been told might be rare.?? It is an Elite series with the numbers 1868-X 4/6 on the sticker inside the guitar. He always said it had a titanium back. Can anybdy advise? THANKS!

Hmmm.... That sounds very strange... The "X" -4/6" is intriguing. Smells like prototype...

Dad always said that it was a prototype with a titanium back. The back does feal more like metal than wood. I am trying to figure out how to post pictures to this board. So stand by. tha ks
