Hope all of you guys have a very happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat so much turkey that a deep bowl won't fit anymore.
(I guess thats why they make SSB's) :D

Here's my plan.

Deep Bowl before Thanksgiving Dinner.

Mid-Depth Bowl after dinner.

Super-shallow bowl after dessert and turkey sandwiches.

Mark Twain was asked what his favorite word was. His reply, "Thanks".

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

I know I have much to be thankful for.

T-giving plans were very much in flux this year, but seems to have come into focus. Talked about an extended weekend in Mexico - didn't happen. Wife talked about flying east to see the kids - did that a week earlier. Moody talked about visiting - didn't work out. Sooo, turns out it'll be the wife and I along with a family we know. Julie is a "Big Sister" to this 10 year old girl who has a pretty unsettled life. Mom is on prison, lives with grandma but it's just a mess. disabled great-grandma now lives with them. They haven't got a pot to pee in. You can picture it. Anyway, we're having that whole gang over for T-giving so that should be pretty interesting. Makes me thankful for how boring, predictable and comfortable my own life is. Dave

Both daughters will be back home. One will eat Tofurkey, but I won't have to. Maybe if I eat too much, SWMBO will believe me when I tell her I need one of those contour bowls they make for fat guys.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I too will be in the kitchen wondering what it's like to relax on turkey day...

One thing I'm thankful for is that I stumbled on to this place... it's been a blast!

Hey!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! While you're at it, be sure to say a prayer for our boys & girls in the service - they will be missed this holiday.

Andrew, I know that Dave is an advocate of those contour bowls, and he is far from being fat, so there must be some other reason for them. I didn't care for the feel on the one I tried.
I don't know if I'd buy anything from a skinny baker.
By the way, what happened to that Ultra GS you bid on. I thought I'd sneak up on it.

When my folks used to be snowbirds they loved having the family Thanksgiving and heading south when, after hallowe'en, they'd get to have another Thanksgiving with all the other frostbacks.

We get to have ours when the crops are fresh off the field and after Hallowe'en there's little other that Remembrance Day to interrupt all the Christmas presents you're making...

Ri-ight!

Time for me to put up the outside Christmas decorations. Oldest son is coming home for Christmas. He is stationed in Hawaii on a sub. This will be his first Christmas home since I retired from the Navy.

Hope everyone has a great Turkey Day!

I might put out the few outside lights I have.

Fortunately,(or Un), Depending on your point of view. I live across the street from the Griswold's.

A wonderful holiday to you all. We really do have it well off, and have much for which to be thankful even when circumstances are challenging.

Fortunately, that's a chore you only have to do once...

Y'know, if you just keep putting up new strings as the old ones burn out, you get a nice 'garland' effect around the eves of the whole house!
