If you haven't already eaten your dinner yet how about taking a picture of it and posting it on this post so we can see what the rest of our OFC members cook on Thanksgiving day.GWB

Too Late.

I'd snap a pic of the dirty dishes but, then I'd have to help clean up the mess I've made.

Definitely a tad too late! It looks like a war zone now... the beauty of me cooking the meal is I can eat and walk away... ahhhhhhh.

It did look pretty darn good though...

Turkey
Sausage Stuffing
Apple Stuffing (for the inlaws)
Baked Yams
Mashed Potatoes
Squash
Cranberry Sauce (jellied)
Cranberry Sauce (Whole -home made)

What am I forgetting...

Oh yeah... Green Beans... (had to have some kind of green veggie!).

You may be seeing my dinner (delicious by the way) soon, as it has been eaten, and will soon be recycled into the environment, thru the New York City sewage system and out into the ocean. It may come back as rain, maybe, so keep an eye out. And yes, I realize I'll be seeing youse guys dinners soon too, yuch!

You will see my dinner in my waistline!

The turkey turned out fabulous, as did everything else. We make these cream cheese mashed potatoes that are just insane, but taste great.

We didn't today, but we sometimes mix a rutabaga in with mashed potatoes. Cut it up and cook it along with the spuds. Adds a nice little 'kick'.

Dang! I wished I checked the Internet and saw this thread earlier in the day. It's about 11:35 p.m. in my neck of the woods, as of this writing, and it's a tad too late to snap photos of what my family had for our Thanksgiving dinner.

All I can say is that we kept simple, and everyone had a great time.

No Pics, but I wanted to share my day.

We didn't cook. Instead we went to a local park with a bunch of "family" ie 3rd cousins, and ex-inlaws etc. Infact, no blood relatives of ours at at all. they brought about 4 turkeys, a dozen pies, lots of other delicious side dishes etc. After dinner (about 2pm), we go to the grocery store and pick up some ice. Block ice. For what else? ICE BLOCKING!! It's where you slide down a grassy slope (steep) with your but on a 10" chunck of ice. Try to stay on top of it with cardboard or this cool plastic seat on top. Also, try to stop before you hit the cement at the bottom of the hill.

We live and leave about 3pm and head "up the hill" to the my wife's mom's house. Some of the afore mentioned family is on their way too. We have yet another delicious Turkey day dinner (about 6pm) then celebrate Christmas as this is the best time to get the entire clan together. Huge gift exchange where we draw cards to see in what order we pick from the pile. Presents are stolen from earlier pickers, and more presents are opened. After it was all said and done (and a few trades were made), we all left pretty much with the present we wanted. The "cousins" AKA all of our children are expempt from the gift exchange. Grandma makes sure they are sufficently spoiled.

Great day. I hope yours was too.

Blessings to you all!!
