Found this one on ebay at almost 1:00 last night (morning...?). Kind of hoping this pans out!

Where do these usually end up? I haven't seen virtually any for sale.

I don't know why they're calling it an "Anniversary" model, but go for it. You almost never see U681's for sale anywhere. I would think that anything under $2000 would be a steal......

It's a boomer! Hope you get it Andrew. It was the first of the 30th Anniversary Adamas guitars. It was also my first of my 30th Anniversary guitars. I didn't tell my wife I already had a 30th anniversary guitar until after she bought me the 30th Anniversary CL. The Ute is amazingly light, but really cranks out the sound.

Great guitar. Mine's being force fed a steady diet of Oggie, HobNobs and Toad in the Hole with generous helpings of Clotted Cream Flamenco...

This could be interesting. I don't believe there are any more new Utes available. 100 made... now only available on the used market... collecters for sure...

I'm with Moody... Under 2k is reasonable, Under 1800 good deal, Under 1500... a steal....

Good Luck!

Andrew, I'm going to echo everything that's been said and add that, outside of when JW was, um, playing it, this guitar always sounded almost unable to produce a sour sound. Just an outstanding guitar.

Git 'er done, man...you will not be sorry.

Weaser, I was playing ancient Middle Eastern folk tunes. In an obscure tuning, most western ears aren't accustomed to, BAGDAD

Mine has a similar problem. When I make a mistake, it's too easy to hear it.

Who is this guy?

Don't know, but he won two auctions last week or so, and STILL has no feedback - I'm going to report him and see what happens.

I feel kind of sheepish now - this guitar had a BIN of $1300...oops...

Andrew, if I had seen this with a BIN of 1300.00, we wouldn't be having this conversation now... ;)
Hope you get it!

Andrew, Andrew, Andrew. A BIN of $1300 was too good to be true. Hope you didn't blow it.

If you're seriously in the market for one, oops is right. Just to get it off the market that is an extremely good price.

But then, who knows where it will end up. You've seen where some of these Adamas have been selling -- 7-$900.
