Way to go.

When I started posting Standingovation was headed for 500. He passed it changed his screen name and has passed me again.

I guess we'll never catch cliff.

Phil - whenever I have murderburgers it brings back a slew of memories... so it's always a pleasant experience... at least for a couple of hours... then watch out! In this case though, the White Castles were part of a trip made for a different reason.. to pick up a guitar that I bought for my son. Granted it's not an Ovation, but one that he saw at the Philly Guitar Show. It's a Dean EVO Dragster that I got for a great price. I paid $212 on Ebay as opposed to $349 in most stores.

He has no idea he's getting it for Christmas. He's into the whole flames thing but is not ready for an acoustic.. otherwise you know I'd get the Ovation flame guitar. It's pretty light too as compared to the Squier that he's playing now. He inherited that from his sister, so it's not really "his" guitar.

Yep. People from up north, meaning Kentucky, have told me that WC is the same as Krystal. So I had WC once in KY, and it's true. Two observations:

1) After eating 5 or 6 burgers and chasing with Coke, I get some of the best burps ever. Really deep and satisfying burps that make you say OH YEAH!

2) Take a plate full of Krystals to a church dinner and they go faster than anything else. If you want to make points with the teenagers, say "yeah, I brought the Krystals".

Why would you want to make points with a teenager?

I had one of the most bizarre/surreal experiences of my life in a Georgetown WhiteCastle after the midnight matinee of 'Blue Velvet'...

Never.... I mean NEVER! mix David Lynch and WhiteCastle. Leaves you nauseous... like drinking a battery-acid milkshake

I refer to those as a "Stupiphany".

stupiphany - n. 1. Stemming from a flash of insight: a seemingly brilliant idea... until you start to tell it to someone. 2. The sudden realization that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results was not working. 3. When an "Ah-ha!" is the result of something that should have been obvious.
