I need a mic stand for my Line 6 Pod. Going to put it where the mic goes, keep it set at about waist high. It's better than keeping it on the floor.

Anyhow, I've seen the Hercules H bottom deals and they seem pretty good. GC has them for 32 bucks, or I could get used no name round base jobbers from the 1950's (or they seem to be from the 1950's) for 20 bucks. Before I go back to GC, do you guys have recommendations?
Thanks

Line 6 makes a stand (or used to) for their POD. Check their website.

I like the Ultimate stackables. Ultimate Stand

Tougher than nails and very stable, but must admit that a clutch type mechanism would be better than the screw type.

Well, the local guitar center has only ProLine models for $20.00. They had neither the Hercules, nor the Ultimate stands in stock. The ProLine'll work. Now I have to see if the seller of the used 1950's jobs still wants to sell. Thanks for the tips fellas.

I'm not real familiar with the POD unit, but I'd venture it's got a bit more "mass" to it than your average mic (plus you'll have sundry cable going in/out of it). I'd opt for something with a somewhat substantial base on it for stability.
Y'might wanna check out that old one.

I've got an old one made by AtlasSound (BrooklynNY, I believe) from the 60's that I got at a flea market. It's got a cast iron base on it (REAL CastIron) and it's stable as ALL hell. I don't use it for gigs anymore cause it's so friggin' heavy, but I can put an original Shure SM55 on a fully-extended boom and it's rock-solid . . .

If you're not pressed for floor-space, get one with "legs" for stability.
