I may be completely off base with my thinking and you may have even better ideas. As the holidays approach my spouse asked for gift ideas. I thought I might benefit my guitar efforts (I am strictly a recreational player and play really only for myself) with some sort of drum machine or rhythm machine to help me get better with my timing and perhaps even come up with some new strumming patterns. One of the things I need to improve on is staying in time particularly with more complicated strumming patterns. I have a small Korg tuner/metronome (inexpensive) unit but you can not hear the sound of the metronome while you are playing--it is great as a tuner and not all that helpful as a metronome. I do not record myself and could not use a machine which you tie to a computer. In my mind I would like something I could attach to my amplifier, create some good beats and play along with my Ovation. I know nothing about drum machines and frankly was lost looking at music store web sites with their offerings. Nothing real expensive. Does anyone have an ideas which might help me with the idea I have of attaching somthing to my amplifier? Thank you all very much. | ||
