Sorry to hear about your day Jason. After having glass in your eye, you might want to wait a few days before going to contacts.

Jason - I think what GWB was trying to say is that even if you have to sell your guitars, there would always be a loaner available. I'll second that.

Wow jason, hope you're ok. I will be praying for you and your recovery. Whatever you do, don't sell the 1114. That would be the last to go IMHO.

Hi Jason. Your injuries sound distressing. I hope you don't suffer too long.

...But isn't your neighbor insured? You slipped in oil from his car. Sounds like a fair claim to cover your medical bills.

I felt bad when I read about your day, and real sorry for you. You keep saying you're a bad player, but that's no good attitude. I don't mean you should fool yourself simply by saying: "I'm good" but you really should use yourself as measure rather than compare to others. You get better with practice as all of us do. Patience and practice is the key, along with small and achieveable goals along the way. I've felt awful about my playing for long periods, but I've realized that the problem was that I was more concerned about all the stuff I couldn't do on the guitar than what I actually can. I try to stick to one piece or lick or whatever I want to learn and keep on practicing small parts a time until I get it right. For the moment I've played a small bouree of Bach from the September issue of Acoustic guitar for at least two months, and now I've finally reached the end, though I cant play it straight through at speed for I guess another month. Yet the rewards are there along the way for every new two or four bars I've learned. You may laugh at me about being a slow learner, but I don't care. I got stiff farmer fingers and no more than average musical talent but I still love to play my guitars! Stick to them Jason, and keep practicing! Your pleasure from playing is the real thing, and I've played myself through many sad moments with my guitars.

I'm really sorry to hear about your accident Jason. Makes me feel kind of silly complaining about my cold. Anyway, I hope that you're feeling better soon.

Jason, you are getting lots of prayers and positive thoughts sent your way from all of your OFC friends. Hospital bills can be a real pain, but in my experience you can generally work out some reasonable payments. You can also generally inquire about assistance if the bills are really high. I'm still paying for my heart attack back in Jan.

Hang in there and keep playing. It's not how good you play that matters it's how much fun you have doing it!

Steve
