There is two holes in my saddle where it's supposed to be plastic pins to attach the saddle to the bridge. These pins were in my guitar case when I bought it but the holes were to big so they fell out. Over the years that has passed they've dissapeared from the case, no wonder! Do they have any influence on the sound at all? I've been playing happily without them all the time, so I wouldn't know!

They serve no acoustic purpose. The strings hold the saddle in place nicely. The only purpose for the pins it to keep the bridge from falling out when you remove the strings. You can take two bridge pins from a normal bridge like a Tak or Martin and shave down the posts to fit in the two Ovation pickup slots if you want to. It actually looks kind of cool. Dave
