I think Al wants another guitar stand for Christmas. Subtle Al, really subtle. (grin)

Be a shame to break up a nice set like that.

What's in the background with the white lettered tires? Didn't know they still made white lettered tires. Are they reissues?

68 pontiac catalina convertible. As soon as the house project is buttoned up the car gets redone. I have neglected it for too long. I really need someone to send it in to overhaulin for me.
the tires are rare aluminum 8 lug rims that pointiac used from 59 to 68 or 9 raised white lettered tires are the only way to go!!!!

Thought it was a Catalina. My parents had a 64 when I learned to drive. Not a convertible, though. That would have been too cool for a high school kid. My first car was a 68 Javelin. Every Christmas and Birthday I got one or 2 new Lee raised white lettered tires.

Very nice guitars, Al. Shame on you though for laying that one on its side like that...

Going, going, soon to be gone. Only a few that will be coming out of the factory.

I have had # 3 for some time...I have to tell you that this is one of the few or ONLY chance in a lifetime to get one. Al probably has the only ones that haven't been pre-purchased. It is not a time to wait.

True or false...I do not believe that someone will be able to special order this guitar at a later date. Nor do I have any faith in the factory producing an a/e model of the original slot-head.

Excuse my french but ... SON OF A BITCH! Al, please tell me those are already sold. I wouldn't want to be tempted to do something more stupid than I've already done. My wife once said "you can never have enough red shoes".

These are great guitars. If you've ever thought about getting one, you should take th plunge and do it.

I'm going all or nothing in waiting for the OFC guitar....

Sing this in your best Mel Torme voice ...

"Although it's been said many times many ways ..."

THIS IS THE DAMN BEST SOUNDING OVATION/ADAMAS GUITAR I HAVE EVER HEARD. AND NOT BY A SMALL MARGIN. BUY ONE NOW. PERIOD.

It almost doesn't matter where you buy it or what you pay for it. It's THAT good. Just be careful if you're dealing with Bro.Bobby that he doesn't screw you out of the good case.

I'll let a small cat out of the bag... Not only do I own a 47RI, but I've got a second one on order. WHY? Well, other than being totally stupid I just don't ever want to take chances that something could happen to one of them. I NEVER want to be without one. The damn guitar is just THAT good.

I normally only beg for sex, but I can't say strongly enough that anyone sitting on the fence should hurry up and get their hands on one of these guitars before it's too late. Sure there might be other models in the future, maybe you could order something, blah blah blah. But it WON'T be a 47RI, it won't be a copy of Charlie's guitar, it won't be serialized, etc. Some are turned off by the 47RI being acoustic only. That's BS. Get an under saddle pickup put in it just like tons of people do who buy wooden box guitars. Templeman did it to his and I'm sure others have or will do the same. You've been warned. I can see the sob stories posted here already when it's too late ...

Just for later reference, would I post my sob story under General Posts or in the For Sale under "wanted: I should have listened to Dave"?

I wish I had the right timing now as it will be regretted later.

I'm with you Woody. All I want is for someone Upstate to get one so I can run by and play it once in a while (assuming they'll let me in, that is).

Weaser,

Having lived in New York State for over fifty years, anything north of the city IS upstate. :D

I would agree - I just don't know anyone north of the city with a 47.
