I think these kind of instruments should always include the total weight.....kinda like to know if I'm hefting 20# or 40# on my shoulder/back.

Strip it down and you'd end up with an instant parts house. Imagine playing the bottom neck and doing vocals . . . you'd have to look through the upper necks.
