Not too long ago i was "introduced" to Martin Taylor. A few of his CD's find their place in the current rotation.

That is my favorite track on the CD. Told my daughter about a year ago that it sounded like she could have written the lyrics.

I haven't found anything lately that I want to hear twice. Hoping I'll get some suggestions here though.

The Willy DeVille Acoustic Trio- Live in Berlin

(Willy might be best known as being feartured on "The Princess Bride" soundtrack, along with Mark Knopfler. He's reminiscent of Dr. John... very Naw'lens)

Sheesh! that took a quite a bit longer than i expected. What? Are pickles now subject to DHS scrutiny? :)

I have two of Martin's insrtuctional DVD's myself - totally demoralizing. But thanks for the tought.

BTW: what strings do you have on the Echotone?

Cheers!

The pickles arrived on Saturday, but i wasn't around t'retrieve them and I got tied down (ShutUp Weaser) here all day today (to everyone here's profound agitation).

For the life of me, I can't remember if I changed the strings or not. If I didn't... I don't know what they are, they came on it from the seller. If I did, they'd be Ernie Ball Regular Slinky...Custom Gauge 10-46
...as I type this, I'm beginning to think I didn't change them...

...havin' fun wid'it?

Every Sunday morning, there's a radio program called, "Acoustic Sunrise" at Jack FM. It's basically acoustic versions of popular songs by (or covered by) the artists themselves. Give it a listen if you have Jack in your local area, and it just might trigger which acoustic tunes will interest you, and which will not.

Acoustic Favorites?

I am really enjoying Tommy Emmanuel's talent. I think he must have visited the crossroads.

We have some awesome local musicians here in Hawaii. Two of my favorites are Keola Beamer playing slack key guitar and Barry Flanagan with the band, HAPA.

The Cazimero Brothers are my long-time heroes for contemporary Hawaiian music. The guitarist, Roland, usually performs with his custom made double neck guitar but is often seen with a 1980's model Adamas 12 string.

My own demo, which I recently updated. I'm looking for flaws, but damn it's hard to find any.
