Location: SULPHUR , LA. | CAN ANYONE SEND ME INFORMATION ON HOW TO REMOVE THE NECK ON A MODEL 1121-4 SERIAL # 011227. I NEED TO REPAIR THE SOUND BOARD - SEVERAL LARGE CRACKS AND SPLITS, ALSO NEED TO RAPIR SOME ROUGH SPOTS ON THE NECK.

Location: ranson,wva | if its just cracks why not just fill em the easy way? ive got plenty of o's that ive repaird tops on and sound damn fine? i wouldnt f@ck with a set neck personaly....just my opinion..take it for what its worth...jason |

Location: ranson,wva | lots and lots of sanding with superfine grit paper or finishing pads from stew mac. keep it wet!! i used soapy water as a lube when i finished the top on the 1111 i sold eddie...it takes a lot of time,go slow. i went thru the cya quite a few times the first time i filled cracks in a top. if you do it right it looks quite good...jason
you cant reseal a catilized polyester finish that ovation uses, you just have to sand and buff the filled cracks and the area around the repair till the scratches and sworls are gone and it blends in with the rest of the finish....jason |

Location: Upper Left USA | Ovation uses a Poly finish. When you use the Cyano-glues to fill it leaves poly behind. You then use polishing steps to flatten and polish.
You can't put lacquer over Poly. |
