I used to have a Bigsby on my project Viper. I liked it but intonation and keeping in tune, especially with new strings was an issue. Just the same, I used it for many years. I would suggest a roller bridge. That really helped with they tuning and smoothness.

I do what FENDER recommends,a drop ( tiny drop) of acid free oil in between metal parts, and tuning probs.are a problem of the past ( nearly ) and I do Use a Bigsby with Roller on my Washburn J-9,actually at the moment I `m using small bits of FELT on #1 NUT #2 SADDLES #3 Strip of FELT piece under Roller, the Felt gets the strings to Slide real well, might be worth a try

I have some TV Jones in an Epiphone FlameKat that has a epi knockoff of a Bigsby. It sounds great and is fun to play ... but its a semi-hollow body. There's also a Bigsby on my Hamer Newport ... there's no intonation problems or tuning issues at all - chalk that up to a high quality guitar.

Probably OK. They put the Filtertrons in the solid bodies too. But you won't get the classic tele or strat sounds.

Some people swear by locking tuners to help with tuning problems, so not sure if that's worth thinking about.

Also, my Brian May (which has a really light touch knife-edge trem on) has a locking nut, and I've never had any tuning problems with that.

Couple of things worth thinking about...

Did someone say T.V. Jones pickups?

The Tuxedo

I put some in a Preacher that someone had (poorly) put regular humbuckers in.
