Whats your least favorite chord to play? You know, the ones that just don't feel like a human should be doing.

Im really new to guitar so I dont have a vast chordal knowledgebase. But that silly Bb Barre just aint right!

I've gotten really good at capoing and transcribing anything with a Bb or Eb.

I absolutely agree on B♭ and B, so I almost always play them as barre chords unless I don't want or need the F or F♯ notes (quite rare), in which event they become simple one-finger chords. I started playing D with only two fingers very early on, so a four-fingered E♭ on five strings eventually came relatively easy, although probably not technically the right or preferred method. I'm looking forward to reading other comments on this thread.

A certain voicing of a m7 where the root is on the 6th sting, the third is on the 3rd string, the fifth is on the 2nd string and the seventh is on the 1st string.

Not impossible to fret but darn hard to hit clean on tempo, for me at least.

My favourite would be a 1937 Cord Convertable.

But all chords have their time and place.
G7? Just let it hang a bit before you resolve to a C and you'll like it a whole lot more.

Bb? Most flat keys suck to play on guitar...with the possible exception of Eb, the non-singers key. (everyone can sing in Eb! You sing flat naturally? You're halfway there!)

Aug6th's, those I have a spot of bother with. Fortunately, they don't come up much.

Bb and Eb

I tune down to D a use a capo.

So Eb becomes E with capo on the 1st fret.

I have a key transposing program so I can transcribe the chords to any key I want.

Anything played in the key of F, (which will usually include the dreaded Bb) can be played in G by removing the capo.

Thanks to a well broken finger back in high school, I really can't make the "A" shape bar chords like these:

E A D G B e
2 2 x x x 2
x x 4 4 4 x

Depending on how the voicing works, I usually just let the high e string get muffled. Or sometimes I'll play a fakey version like this:

E A D G B e
0 0 x x x 0
x x 4 4 4 x

If the song is in E Major, then that actually works pretty well most of the time.

Eb is not a problem once you get used to barring the "C" chord shape. But if a song has an Eb in it, it is probably flat happy all the way through, which usually means five minutes of absolutely uninterrupted barre chords, and my hand always cramps up.

But to answer the question, my least favorite chord is the wrong one.

I can't make any A-shape with a barre. That's my least favorite chord, and there's a lot of them... :(

For you folks with the three finger A chord problem -- assuming you are trying to i,m,a on strings 4,3,2 -- try m,i,a instead. May help

Mainly I have trouble with Eb, B and Bb. I can't even do barre chords where the ring finger press strings 2-4 simultaneously.

I have to advocate some wisdom here, however reluctantly, imparted to me by my friend, Schroeder:

"If three strings make a chord, Why do you strum six?

...the implication of this philosophy leads to jazz
