The top is unlike anything I've seen in the Ovation archive - not as dark as walnut, but very brown with lots of figure. Worth it or no?

If anybody's interested in seeing it, PM me with an email addy and I can send a pic the seller sent me. The guitar's a shallow bowl, which I generally don't like, but the case looks to be in mint condition. For that price I may buy it just for the case for my CV68, & keep the git for camping & such.

I have tried a few of them, and none did. I found comparably priced Celebrities to generally sound better. But that's just my experience and opinion. How about others of you?

Joined: November 2006 Posts: 3969 | Ultras replaced the Matrix line as the entry-level O, right? I know some Matrix owners here - especially those with the aluminum fretboard - don't like them much. But I gotta say my Matrix (with the rosewood fretboard) sound and plays pretty darn good. I've said it here before that the Matrix outshone any number of Epis and Alvarez's it's played against. In the end though I already have a plywood top O that I don't have to worry abount banging around so I'm gonna take a pass on this Ultra. I told the seller about this site, so don't be surprised if you see it listed here.
