I've noticed that the satin finish on the neck of my 1771LX is becoming a gloss finish. Glossiest at position 1 and slowly more satin as it goes towards the body.

Is this normal? I've cleaned the neck with Dunlop 65 Cleaner/polish and it didn't seem to help. If anything it made it more glossy. The gloss seems sticky once your hands get warmed up, so I prefer the satin finish.

Is there any way to bring back the original satin on the neck, or is that worn smooth forever?
