Hey guys,,,,, I was over at the Hamer Fan club and saw this site, pretty cool ,

I feel I belong here because I have a USA Ovation Standard Balladeer, I play it some at church and it sounds very good "thru" the system there , or thru my AR Acoustic combo amp. by itself it doesn't sound that great BUT it's not meant to right? tough as nails too,95 model I think and it still looks new. I may get a "Taylor" some day BUT I'm in no hurry at all, this will do just fine till then.

Hello crabby,
I too own an Ovation. A Legend Model 1717 built in the mid-80's and it was my main instrument for years until recently. I purchased a Taylor 412ce and I love it; not a knock to Ovation, but the Taylor practically plays itself. I might be selling the ol' gal so I can by the new Taylor nylon string that is just about to be released.

Tony
