O.K. then I guess that clears that up.....Sorry cwk2 I didn't realize you were the man with the real answer. I've heard ALL kinds of explainations about where this guitar originated. But here's my next question:

Is the GP a Samick Designed guitar, like one they already had in production? or did you guys come up with the body design and just out-source the construction to Samick?

Thank you sir!

Samick was just a factory, they could care less what the design was, they just wanted the orders to build. We came up with the design. By extending the horn it made the guitar more balanced hanging on a strap. It looked good too.

Agreed, to me the feel and balance of the GP has always been great. Way more comfortable to play than my Les Pauls.

Yeah, It's got it. The relief so it won't cut into your ribs like a Tele does. Fits smooth like a scrat.
