Location: Scotland | The last Deacon I bought came in an original case that has seen better days, the hinges, latches & handle are fine but the outer shell is split or missing in patches & the foam inside has started to perish. Has anyone attempted to restore one of these or can anyone suggest any strategies.
Thanks

the type of material on the cases is pretty strong but I've never seen it repaired well. It's a type of polyetheylene (I think) and is strong but doesn't glue well. |

Location: RI. That small State out East | I'm in the market for a "new" case and came across a scratch and dent section at Musician.com they had a "delux" 8210 molded case for $69.00
Come to think of it... You still might need the duct tape depending on how big the scratch...
