I use a "trace acoustic" amp for my ovation.
But I think that it doesn't give my ovation what it needs.
Does anyone have experienced the same?
And what about have other amps?

The Trace acoustic was designed with the Ovation as the role model. This was the 50 watt model. If you've got one of the smaller ones I might agree with you. Most everyone makes an acoustic amp now, go to a shop and check out what's available and decide with your own ears.

I bought a genz benz bass amp for my wife and it is great I was thinking about a genz acoustic amp but I need to try them and make sure. I like the trace amps although pricey I would NEVER buy an swr they have way too much line noise and drive me crazy

What about Fender and Marshall acoustic amps? There seems to be a few around, i just use my Marshall TSL601 valve for now, until i can afford to get a dedicated acoustic amp just for my Ovation baby.

I originally bought a Crate acoustic amp for my Elite, "Big Blue 12", and my Country Artist. Just recently I bought a Fender Princeton 65 to play my old Viper thru. The acoustics sound pretty good thru the Fender.
As to other acoustic amps, the Fender Acoustisonics sound pretty good. Like guitars, amps gotta be judged by your ears and everybody's ears are different.

The Trace acoustic I have is less than 50 watt.
It is a Ta30R, 30 Watt amplifier.
That could be the problem!
So maybe I've going to look for another amp.
I also think that the acoustic trace is a little pricey.

I did try my Adamas II through my new Valvetronix, and with the obvious settings equal to a Dumble, and early tweed or Acoustic it sounded rather phenomonal. Of course the amp is so flexible that I could probably mic my Hawaiian momento tourist ukulele and it would sound good.

I am curious as to why Ovation never took a serious stab at a amplifier designed for the Acoustics. There was a line of amps, and I think a rather fine amp at that, but geared toward the storm series and general electric guitar (although they sound great for keyboards). The bass amp had a pretty beefy sound, more like those of today than the other solid state amps of that era.

The peavy acoustic amp called the "ecoustic 112" is "in my opinion" the best sounding acoustic amp around.I tried them all and this one just sounds natural and warm...They are only $350-$399 and they beat every other acoustic amp i have tried...Its worth a test run !!! try it..
